Oka Vanga - Dromadari

Oka Vanga are a 'high octane' guitar duo that combine a complex fingerpicking style with musical influences from around the globe. Their music is a melting pot of melodies woven tightly together with unity and precision, and their energetic style of playing is a perfect match for their intense style of music. Oka Vanga are named after the Okavango river delta in Africa. 'Dromadari' is a piece written and recorded by Angela Meyer and William Cox, 'Oka Vanga', and is called so after the Dromadary camel (also spelt Dromadaire). The dromedary (pronounced /ˈdrɒmədɛəri/ or /ˈdrɒmədri/) or Arabian camel (Camelus dromedarius) is a large even-toed camel which is found widely in North Africa and the Middle East. The world's only population of dromedaries exhibiting wild behaviour is an introduced feral population in Australia. The music suggests a journey by camel, across an African desert.
